We all love the X-Factor here at Packtypes Towers, and not just because of the auditions. The new judges have brought a fresh feel to the show, and their mix of personalities provides something for everyone!

It was great to see Carl Jung getting some airtime today on the BBC web site. 50 years on since his death and his thinking on psychology and emotional intelligence still underpins the majority of psychometric tools including Packtypes.

The McKinsey school report of 2007 concluded that a school is only as good as its staff.

If someone had asked me whether I would prefer to do a three year degree at a standard university and end up with £30k plus debt or do an Open University degree and have the £30k to spend travelling the world then I would have taken the second option every time.

Is all this stuff in the press about tuition fees just the death rattle of educational dinosaurs in the final throes of extinction?

I have delivered two presentations today to a special school and a behaviour unit, both for children with behaviour difficulties and it has left me with the question, do these type of special schools employ the most emotionally intelligent staff?

This week we've launched a new series of FREE Packtypes Taster Sessions for Head Teachers and Deputies at the schools around our new Training Centre.
